SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH YOUR CHILD
Your Child is precious. Your Child is important. Spend
quality time with your Child. The first five years of a child is very
important. As the child develops, the needs of the child changes. Every child
is unique. Spend as much time as possible with the child. The more time you
spend with a child, the more the benefits derived from it. Children are very
impressionable. Early exposure to virtues and righteousness and godliness and
our Lord Jesus Christ will help a lot. Pray for the Child. Read the Bible with
the Child. Talk with the child. Encourage the child to express him or herself
in his or her own way. Try to understand the specific needs of your child.
Teach the child survival skills. Teach the child basic manners and cutesy.
Teach the child patience and tolerance. Teach the child to fear God and keep
His commandments. Teach the child discipline. Teach the child how to say NO to
sin and YES to righteousness and holiness. Introduce the child early to formal
education. Teach the child basic language skills and mathematics as well as
reasoning. Teach the child scientific skills. Teach the child how to
investigate things, search, research, test and study things. Encourage the
child to dissipate energy doing constructive and productive work. Teach the
child confidence and self-worth. Teach the child that there is dignity in
Labour. Do not encourage laziness. Encourage healthy living. Encourage a
balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables and exercises. A good night
sleep is to be encouraged. Encourage healthy competition with good humor and a
spirit of sportsmanship. Teach the
child to say THANK YOU, SORRY, PLEASE, GOOD MORNING, GOOD NIGHT, GOOD
AFTERNOON, GOD BLESS YOU. Teach the child kind words and kind acts. Teach by
example. Do what you teach. Action speaks louder than words. Pray for your
child. Keep an eye on your child’s
friends so that you can have an idea of what your child is being exposed to. If
an association is not good for your child, stop it. Let your child accept your
authority from the first day. Do not wait until the child is too old. Recognize
the authority of God and God will give you authority even in your home.
