Name: Ogbodo Kenneth Ebuka. Reg no: Esut/2010/110294. Department: E.E.E. Level: 400. I learnt that FAULT ANALYSIS is the study of the electrical power system after a fault with a view of determining the current and voltage distribution. The RESULT obtain from FAULT ANALYSIS can be used for (1) protection scheme, (2) determining current transformer and voltage transformer ie CT and VT ratio, (3) it is used to determine the relay time step setting and time dial setting. There are 2 type of Fault namely (I) Balanced and (ii) Unbalanced fault. I also learnt that STABILITY STUDIES is the study to determine if the system will will retain synchronism after peturbation. Three type of stability study are: Transient, Steady state and Dynamic.
