MAGNETOHYDRODYNAMICS GENERATION

Magneto hydrodynamics Generation is being actively investigated in order to improve the thermodynamic efficiency of Electrical Power Generating Stations.
In a Magnetohydrodynamics generator, hot combustion gases are compressed and made to move at a very high velocity through the Magnetohydrodynamics MHD (Channel). These accelerated high velocity gasses are further subjected to a strong magnetic field placed at right angle to the direction of flow of the gas(fuel). The diagram above is a simple block diagram of the Magnetohydrodynamic Power generating station, indicating the power generating process.
