PLEASE FORGIVE

FORGIVE
You must forgive
Forgiveness is of God
It is good to forgive
It is important to forgive
It is the will of God for us to forgive
When we forgive, we please God.
When we forgive we release the power of God.
Forgiveness is a manifestation of the Power of God in our lives.
We can only forgive in the Power of God.
Forgiveness is therapeutic.
When you forgive, a burden is lifted off your chest.
When you forgive heaven rejoices.
When you forgive, you are forgiven.
When you forgive you are set free.
Forgiveness helps you to forget the past.
Forgiveness helps you, free memory for future pleasant plans.
Forgiveness is a test of your christianity.
God fogave us, so that we may forgive, and also that we may be forgiven.
When you forfive, you are forgiven as much as yuo forgave and most times even much more than you forgave.
When you fail to forgive, forgiveness eludes you and mercy is very far from you.
Mercy rejoices over judgement.
Pray that your sins be forgiven you.
Rejoice for your name is written in the book of life.
Jesus said your sins are forgiven you.
The son of man has power on earth to forgive sins.
When you learn to forgive you learn to let go and you learn to make a new start in life.
God forgives always.
When you forgive, you benefit from God's forgiveness.

Let us take a look at Matthew 18:21-35

Vs 21 Here Peter asked Jesus a question about Forgiveness.

Notice that although Peter is the first or chief disciple or apostle, yet he had questions. So please do not feel uncomfortable when you have questions too. Feel free to ask Jesus, He will give you the right answer.

Question:

Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Till seven times?

Notice that he called Jesus Lord. This is a show of respect and anacknowledgement of the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Is Jesus Christ your Lord? Please make Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour today.

Vs 21 In the question Peter suggested an answer too.Till seven times. This is an indication that Peter had a view on the matter and was willing to let Jesus Christ know that too.
Sometimes we have our views, fears and doubts. Tell Jesus about them all. He knows what to do and how to reasure us.

Notice that Jesus Christ gave Peter not just an answer, but an illustration as well to make sure he understood the answer very well. When you are sincere with God and our Lord Jesus Christ, you will not make mistakes in life. When God gives us an answer, He makes sure we understand. He speaks to us in the language we understand.

Peter used numbers to make the question as specific as possibble. Jesus Christ responded in kind. Using specific numbers to drive home the point.

Vs 23
Notice that although Jesus Christ used numbers too in the answer. The numbers were similar to the numbers used in the quetion by Peter, only much more; illustrating how much more you must forgive. By the time you forgive a person (Brother) seventy times seven times on an offence or issue, you must have learnt a lesson or two in patience and humility and he too must have learnt how to love.

Jesus Christ then talked about the kingdom of heaven

Vs 23 Every Kingdom has a king.

Vs 24 The King began to recon
A Day of reconing is coming, when we shall all give account of our stewardship here on earth.
Vs 24 Notice that this man was brought unto Him. He had no choice. Judgement is for all man. Death is certain for all mankind. After death comes judgement.
Vs 25 He owed and had not to pay
He could not pay.
-- He could not pay hence the purnishment.
The wages of sin is death
Vs 26 He worshiped, asking for patience and opportunity to pay.
Vs 27 He was forgiven. Though he asked for patience and opportunity to pay, he was forgiven.
The Lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
Vs 28 But the same servant went out, found a fellow servant who owed him and took him by the throat saying pay me that thou owest.
Vs 29 His fellow servant fell down at his feet besought him asked him to have patience
Vs 30 He put his fellow servant in prison.
Vs 31 His other fellow servants were very sorry.
Our life is the first evidence that we are christians.
When you are forgiven, it will show in your love for others.
Your life is the first Bible others will read.
By their fruits we shall know them.

The Lord was told.
Your sins will find you out.
Everythng we do is known by God.
Cornelius the centurion was told that his prayers alms are come up as a memorial before God.
God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation, he that feareth him , and worketh righteousness, is accepted .

Vs 32 His Lord called him and addressed him as a wicked servant.
People who do not forgive are wicked.
Vs33 You must have compassion to forgive. Learn from God who had compassion and pity on us and forgave us our sins so that we too can have compassion on others. Have Jesus Christ in your heart and He will give you the holy spirit which will teach you compassion, love and forgiveness.

Forgiveness brings healing and peace.

Forgiveness ends strive.

Vs 34 His Lord was wroth. delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
Vs 35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not everyone his brother their trespasses.

You must forgive from your heart.

It is the nature of God to forgive.
God wants us to forgive.
Anything God wants us to do, He does it first to teach us that it can be done and how to do it and to let us know that He will do it in us and through us.

let s take a look at the Bible and learn from the word of God

Psalm 32:1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
Romans 4:7 (This is what happens when you believe in our Lord Jesus Christ) Saying, Blessed
Psalm 86:5 For thou , Lord art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
Matthew 6: 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Vs 14 for if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Vs 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Lk 11:4 And forgive us our sins for we also forgive everyone that is indebted to us.
Psalm 103: 2,3 Bless the Lord, O my soul and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thy iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases.
1st John 1:9 If we confess our sins he is faithful and Just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Mk 2:10 But that you may know that the son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins.
Mk 3:28 Verily I say unto you, all sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme
Mk 3: 29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.
Ephisians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.
Lk 17:3;4
Vs 3 Take heed to thyself: if thy brother transgress against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him
Vs 4 And if he transgress against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying I repent; thou shalt forgive him..
Luke 7 : 47 wherefore I say unto thee , her sins which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much, but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
Lk 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: Condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: Forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
Mk 11:25,26
Vs 25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

James 2:13 For he shall have judgement without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgement.

Acts 8:22
Repent therefore of this thy wickedness and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
In this case, a certain man called Simon thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
Sometimes the heart can think things that need to be forgiven.

JESUS CHRIST PRAYED

JESUS PRAYED

LET US STUDY THE BIBLE
JN 17

In this chapter, Jesus Prayed.

Let us look at the the kind of things Jesus Prayed for.

Glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the
                   world was
Vs 6 ------ I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world.
Thine they were and thou gavest them me and they have kept thy word.
Vs 7 ------- All things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee
Vs 8 ------- Jesus has given unto them the words which thou givest me.
                  And they have received them
And have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou
                  dids't send me.
Vs 9 ------ Jesus prayed for those who believe for they are thine.

Vs 21 --- That they all may be one
Vs 22 --- Jesus Christ gives them the glory God gave Him that they may be one.
Vs 23 --- I in them, Thou in me that they may be made perfect in one and that the world may know
that thou hast sent me and hast loved them, as Thou hast loved me. (Jesus Christ Prayed)Vs Vs 24 ---- It is the will of Jesus Christ that Christians be with Him in Heaven
Vs 25 ---- God is righteous
The world does not know God
                Jesus has known God
Christians know that God sent Jesus Christ
Vs 26 ----- God has been declared by Jesus unto us
                  He will do it again
To put His Love in Us.

This study clearly shows the love of God for us. This study shows the Love of Jesus Christ for us. This study shows the mind of Jesus Christ towards us. This study shows the desires of Jesus Christ for us and the requests He has made to God on our behalf. This shows the priorities of Jesus Christ and the things that matter to Him. The entire chapter is a prayer by Jesus to God. Let us learn from Jesus Christ how to pray and what to pray about and how to relate to God in Prayer.
