MAXWELL'S EQUATIONS
MAXWELL’S EQUATION
There are four basic laws of Electromagnetism
These are outlined below:
- Gauss Law
- A law expressing the absence of magnetic poles
- Amperes law relating the magnetic field to the steady currents producing it
- Faraday’s Law of induction
For a current which changes with time, the Ampere’s Law has to be modified. When this is done, the four laws make up the Maxwell’s equation.
The Maxwell’s equations are these set of equations which any possible electromagnetic field must satisfy everywhere.
Most of the time one is faced with solving Maxwell’s equations which fit the boundary conditions and distributions of charge and current appropriate to different problems.
