A NEW BEGINING WITH GOD IS A GOOD BEGINNING

A NEW BEGINNING WITH JESUS CHRIST IS A GOOD BEGINNING.

Revelation 22

King James Version (KJV)

22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.

9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

King James Version (KJV)

Genesis 1

King James Version (KJV)

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Genesis 2

King James Version (KJV)

2 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,

5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

8 And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

9 And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

15 And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

19 And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Ecclesiastes 12

King James Version (KJV)

12 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

2 While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:

3 In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened,

4 And the doors shall be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of musick shall be brought low;

5 Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:

6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.

7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

8 Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.

9 And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.

10 The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.

11 The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.

12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

LET US STUDY THE BIBLE TOGETHER TODAY - JOHN 8

LET US STUDY THE BIBLE TOGETHER TODAY (JOHN 8)

John 8

King James Version (KJV)

8 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.

2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.

3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.

14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.

15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.

16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.

21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.

22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.

23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.

26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.

27 They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.

28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

30 As he spake these words, many believed on him.

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

48 Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?

49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.

50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.

51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.

53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?

54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.

56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?

58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

VS 1 Jesus Christ went unto the mount of Olives.

It is significant that Jesus Christ went to the mount.

(Most times, when we talk about going to the mount when we mean going to spend time with God alone in prayer, reading the word of God and fasting)

Jesus Christ chose a quiet place “Mount of Olives”

We need time to recover from any activity
We need time to hear from God
We need time to search the scriptures
We need time and a quiet environment devoid of distraction as Christians

Vs 2 Early in the morning He came again to the temple.
All the people came unto him
He sat and taught them

It is good to be an early riser.
Spend time with God again and again
Accommodate others
Let people come to you
Teach others what you learn from God.

Vs 3-5 A woman was acussed
Vs 6 They also tempted Jesus Christ – So that they may accuse Him too
Jesus Christ ignored them. – You must not answer to everything especially when you understand the motive of the question or suspect a wrong motive associated with the question.
Seek God’s council.

VS 7 When they continued asking Him:
People who put pressure on you do not stop, they continue.
-          God gives the wisdom to deal with them.

Jesus Christ asked them “If you have no sin cast the first stone”

Do not accuse others. Remember that you also need to be forgiven by God.
Vs 8 He ignored them
Vs 9 They were convicted by their own conscience
Vs 10-11 Jesus Christ encouraged the woman and told her to go and SIN NOMORE
“Neither do I condemn thee: go and sin nomore”

Vs 12 Jesus Christ is the Light of the world.
Jesus Christ said : He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life.
Vs 16 Jesus Christ is not alone. Jesus Christ is with God the father.
Vs 19 If you know Jesus Christ you have known the father.
Vs 20 Jesus Christ taught in the temple.
We must teach in the temple. Our body is the temple of God. We must be holy. Let Jesus Christ teach us so that we can teach. The Church is the body of Christ. Iron sharpeneth iron. The Church must be a teaching Church; teaching the word or God ie the word or truth. Jesus Christ taught in the temple. The disciples of Jesus Christ have 5to teach in the temple.
Vs 21 Sin kills
Vs 23 Jesus Christ is from above.
VS 26 Jesus Christ only says what God asks Him to say.

JESUS CHRIST LOVES US VERY MUCH

YOU ARE UNIQUE
YOU AR MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD.
WE ARE ALL HUMAN
WE ALL HAVE THINGS IN COMMON
WE ALSO HAVE INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES THAT DIFFERENCIATE US FROM EACH OTHER.
WE ARE PECULIAR
THESE ARE ALL BESIC FACTS.
YOU ARE NOT REALLY DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS
YOU ARE NOT BETTER THAN OTHERS
YOU ARE NOT WORSE THAN OTHERS

What a paradox

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God
We are all saved by grace lest any man should boast.

So no matter how good you may appear to be ( remember that our righteousness is like a filthy rag before God  )

On the other hand, no matter how bad you may think you have become, remember that ( all sins shall be forgiven you except the sin against the Holy Ghost.) Just come as you are  to Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ died to save us from our sins.

Humble yourself and come to Jesus Christ.
He will take responsibility for your heavenly destination in this journey of life.

With Jesus Christ in your heart Heaven is sure.
For where He is, there you will be also.
Jesus Christ has paid the price.
Salvation is free but not cheap.
It cost Jesus Christ His very life.

A sacrifice pure and holy and acceptable to God; a ransom for many.

An atonement for our sins.

Let us accept His grace and offer, now that there is time. Today is the day of salvation. Tomorrow may be too late. For there is no repentance in the grave.

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

Jesus Christ said “Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy leaden and I will give you rest.

Jesus said “Take my yoke for my yoke is light”

Cast your cares on Christ for He cares for you and I and for us all.

Salvation is by faith not of works lest any man should boast.

When you are saved you are safe. If you are not, then you are not.
Beware and be warned and be aware!!!

When you are saved, you surrender your will to God and allow His will in your life.

This is a test of salvation. Man is free to choose between his ways or God’s ways. When you choose your ways, you do your will and the result is limited to and by your ability.

When you come to the realization that there are things you can not do. When you acknowledge your limits and limitations, when you acknowledge your sins and ask God for help he is only too eager to come to your rescue. That is salvation.

There is no other way by which man can be saved but through our Lord Jesus Christ. When you give God a chance in your life to save you, you have to let Him do it, His own way.

That is when you let go and let Him. That is when you surrender your will to the almighty God through Jesus Christ our Lord and savior.

Remember that God’s will; will be done. So when you start doing the will of God, all limitations are removed. You begin to understand the purpose of all that God allows. You now start living a victorious life in Christ. Your will and His will become one. You delight in His words, precepts and commandments. You desire to obey and please God through Jesus Christ our Lord who strengthens you.

At this stage, you do His will and His blessings for you are sure and assured; because they are already ordained.

The way of salvation is the way of obedience. The way of salvation is the way of trust, faith and believe in God and in our Lord Jesus Christ who came to save us from our sins.

This means total surrender to the will of God.

Now why would somebody do such a thing?
Rationally it is unlikely.
However;
God is faithful
God never fails
God is able to deliver those who trust in Him.
When you know whom God is, it makes it easier to trust Him.

Have a closer walk with God and you will realize that trusting God is the most rational thing to do.

When you travel by air, land or sea and someone else is responsible for the flight or navigation or journey; your safety does not necessarily depend on whether you choose to sleep or keep awake throughout the journey. Once the pilot or driver or navigational team and the vehicle or plane takes of and arrives safely, you are safe.

As a rational man you wouldn’t entrust your safety to a drunk driver because of the attendant risk, or an untrained pilot. However once you are convinced that the vehicle and the pilot or driver are good, you will be happy to make the journey in the vehicle.

In the same way, when you know God you can trust God.

While in motion, as the journey progreses, you are safe as long a you remain in the vehicle. If you leave the vehicle for any reason, you are on your own and you do so at your own risk and the driver or the pilot or even the vehicle cannot do anything about it.

In the same way when you know God, and you give God a chance to save you and direct you and control your life, through Jesus Christ our Lord, you must remain in Him. You must surrender you’re your will to Him. You must take up His will . You must make His will yours.

You must abide in Him and He in you, then you can bear much fruit. These are called the fruits of the spirit.

When you are saved, stay in Christ and the character of Christ will be formed in you.
